On January 07, 2009, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced Cahaba Government Benefit Administrators®, LLC as the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for Jurisdiction 10 comprised of Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. As the J10 MAC, Cahaba GBA will be responsible for the administration of all Medicare Part A and Part B claims in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Effective August 3, 2009, Riverbend Government Benefit Administrator is no longer the Fiscal Intermediary for Tennessee Part A Providers including the Out of Jurisdiction Providers (OJPs) and Specialties such as Rural Health Clinics (RHCs), Independent Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs), Religious Non-medical Health Care Institutions (RNHCIs) and Home Office Providers, Limited Purpose Insurance Companies (LPICs) and Histocompatibility Laboratories (HLs).
