New Providers
Welcome to Medicare Part A Provider Enrollment. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), has contracted Riverbend Government Benefits Adminstrator (RGBA), a Fiscal Intermediary, to administer the Medicare Part A program.
At RGBA, we are committed to achieving the highest standards of quality and service to our providers, beneficiaries and the government entities that we serve. RGBA is responsible for providing you with information concerning enrollment into the Medicare program, processing Medicare claims, and communicating changes in the Medicare guidelines.
The processing of an eligible Medicare provider application requires extensive research to ensure all information provided is accurate and all appropriate attachments are supplied.
RGBA facilitates enrollment into the Medicare program for the following Part A provider types:
If your application submission is complete and accurate, RGBA should complete the review of your application within 60 days. You will be notified of our recommendation to either approve or deny your application. If RGBA recommends approval of your application, it will be forwarded to the appropriate State Survey Agency. After you receive our recommendation for approval letter, you should contact the State Agency for questions about the status of your application. The state will then conduct its review and notify the CMS Regional Office of its recommendation for approval. If CMS agrees with the recommendations from RGBA and the state, they will issue a notice to you approving you as a certified Part A provider in the Medicare program. This notice will also contain your Medicare Part A Provider Transaction Access Number (PTAN).
