SUBJECT: TIME LIMIT FOR FILING MEDICARE CLAIMS
PRIMARY INTERESTS: BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGERS
The Health Care Financing Administration has announced that the claims timely filing limit for dates of service between October 1, 1997 and September 30, 1998 will be January 3, 2000 instead of the normal December 31, 1999. This extension is being provided since December 31, 1999 will be a Federal non-workday.
