SUBJECT: SYSTEM DARK DAY

EFFECTIVE DATE: JULY 31, 2000
Riverbend GBA will become the Medicare Part A Intermediary for the providers currently being served by Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey effective August 1, 2000. In order to update our files for this transition, the Fiscal Intermediary Shared System (FISS) used by Riverbend GBA to process claims will not be operational on Monday, July 31, 2000.
Due to this activity, the Common Working File, FISS, Automated Response Unit and Direct Data Entry systems will not be operational on July 31, 2000. Normal access will be available on August 1, 2000.
THIS BULLETIN SHOULD BE SHARED WITH ALL HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONERS AND MANAGERIAL MEMBERS OF THE PROVIDER STAFF. NO COST COPIES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FROM OUR WEB SITE AT riverbendgba.com
