SUBJECT: REASON CODE W7015

PRIMARY INTERESTS: BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGERS

Many providers have encountered reason codes W7015 which states the number of units listed is unacceptable. The Health Care Financing Administration has instructed Medicare contractors to disable this edit until it can be corrected in January. If your facility feels they have received a returned claim (RTP) in error, these claims can be resubmitted immediately.
