SUBJECT: DIRECT DATA ENTRY SCREEN CHANGES

PRIMARY INTERESTS: BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGERS

EFFECTIVE DATE: January 8, 2001

Effective January 8, 2000, the Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS) will implement changes to the Direct Data Entry (DDE) System. The changes will allow providers to view additional data specific to claims which are rejected and/or denied.

The attached documentation provides screen layouts and field descriptions. Please place these changes in your DDE manual for future reference.
