SUBJECT: REASON CODE W7015

PRIMARY INTERESTS: BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGERS

EFFECTIVE DATE: IMMEDIATELY

Medi 848-00 (10/20/00) announced that the Health Care Financing Administration had instructed Medicare contractors to disable reason code W7015 until it could be corrected in January. This reason code states the number of units listed is unacceptable.

HCFA has instructed all Medicare contractors to reactivate this edit immediately.
